January 1 – Registration Opens
February 16 – Registration closes (no in-person registration – online only)
February 18 – Coach’s Meeting
February 21 – Majors Tryouts
February 22 – Coach Pitch and Minors Tryouts
February 23 – Tryout Make-up Day (FOR RAINOUTS ONLY)
February 24-26 – Drafts (Head Coaches Only)
March 29 – Opening Ceremonies
March 29-30 – Strikeout Childhood Cancer Tournament
May 19-30 – End of Season Tournament
May 30 – Closing Ceremonies
Additional Information:
- Games are played Mon.-Thur. (Friday night games may be played this year as well)
- WPO plays under the DYB (Dixie Youth Baseball) rules
- Registration fee is $150
- Estimated number of games for the season is 12+
- Each child receives a hat, jersey, belt, and socks (Tball will receive pants)
- Your child’s age on May 1st determines what division he/she plays.
- Birth certificates may be checked - There is no “playing up” or “playing down”
PLAYER REGISTRATION:
- Division select box is based on your player's Date Of Birth. If a specific division is not available, please ensure your Date Of Birth is entered correctly.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
- Glove
- Rubber Cleats (NO METAL). Football, Soccer, or tennis shoes also acceptable.
- All bats must be unaltered USA bats and contain the USA logo
