The South Texas Coed State Cup is an official tournament, organized and administered by the Texas State Soccer Association-South (TSSAS), in order to encourage adult player participation in our area.
In order to encourage and increase player development, the State Association has created a system of competitions that recognizes the achievement of the better teams and players. These competitions are typically organized to establish state champions in three competitive divisions.
TSSAS Coed State Cups 2025 - June 7 - 8
After talks, we will keep the similar format: Highlights
- Saturday late afternoon, evening, and night games
- Sunday, morning, and afternoon games (be done around 1ish)
- Will (try) increase the time between team games by 2 time slots instead of one.
- Games will be 35 min halves in bracket play and 40 in round-robin - subject to change depending on registration.
- Only have D1, D2, D3, and 030 if a minimum of 3 teams registers in each division; if not, we will cancel the division or combine. Last year will only had D1-3, no 030 (NOTE: 8v8)
- NO YC fines part of the game
- RC fines from $50 to $60 reason dropping yc fines.
- OT rules - golden goal+
NOTE: IMPORTANT:
In order for your teams to play in the State Cup, your league must be registered with TSSAS, and all players must be registered and paid for.
We are getting Team Pass to format a platform for the team captain/manager to fill in the players easily and quickly. More information will follow on how the teams will register their players using the Team Pass platform as soon as we complete it. For those who already use Team Pass, this should be easy. This platform was used at the Regional level last year for competitions, making it super easy. Any player registered with TSSAS will not have an additional fee to pay. A code will be provided, and Harmony will verify if a player is registered. The good thing is, as the player registers, they provide a form of ID with their picture. This will negate the necessity of player passes. They will have to bring a picture ID to the field. The players’ pictures will be printed alongside their names as the rosters are printed.
