The South Texas Cup is the official tournament, organized and administered by the Texas State Soccer Association-South (TSSAS). In order to encourage and increase player development, the State Association has created a system of competitions that recognizes the achievement of the better teams and players. These competitions are typically organized to establish state champions in the following categories:
1st - 3rd Divisions
Open Division
Over 40/50 Division (8v8 Format)
2024 TSSAS Women's State Cup
When: Saturday, April 6 and Sunday April 7, 2024
Where: Old Settlers Park, Round Rock, TX
Over 40/50 State Cup: This will remain an 8v8 format with a maximum number of players for a team being 15. For this year, there will be no fee for Over 40/50 teams. Team information sheets are due to Jeanne Smith by March 1. Rosters are due by March 12.
1st - 3rd Division Teams: As in the past, the first and second place teams in each division enter the cup for free. Every team after that from your association will pay $225 entry fee. Team information forms are due to Jeanne Smith by March 1. Rosters are frozen March 5 and due to Jeanne by March 12.
Important Change for 2024 Women's State Cup for unaffiliated leagues:
If a team is an unaffiliated league and wishes to participate in the Women's South Texas State Cup, that team will pay a $500 entry fee and will register each player through TSSAS with an $18/player registration fee. A team's placement in the State Cup will be at the discretion of the State Commissioner. The team and players will be required to be in compliance with all State Cup rules. For all rules and rule changes, please read the Women's State Cup Rules Revised 2023 document below.

Additional Information:
There will be a MANDATORY meeting on Friday night at 8:30 in the host hotel for the team managers/captains. Please bring your player IDs as we will check in the teams that night. All the rosters will be alphabetized, thank you for those of you who send yours in that way, so please have your cards in alphabetical order. You DO NOT need to bring rosters. I will already have them. The meeting will be in the hotel lobby.
As we did last year, I am asking each team to provide a commissioner for the games. The person cannot be a player or the coach if the team is playing at that time. That person will not necessarily be used for all the games, but if they want to commission all your games, that is fine with me. I will be attaching the commissioner responsibilities. Please send the information and their email addresses to me by Monday, March 20.
Spectators will sit on the opposite side of the fields of the teams. As soon as your game is over, leave the field so the other team can come in. There will be places in the park where you can gather as a team to wait for your next game.
WHEN YOU SEND IN THE TEAM ROSTER BY MARCH 13, MAKE SURE IT IS AN ATTACHMENT AND NOT A SCAN OR A PICTURE.
