There are a few important things that would be helpful for the season:

1. Every player must have a number on the back of their jersey.  It can be as simple as tape, but it must be there.  If it falls off, we would ask that the player tries to make the effort to maintain it throughout the game.  We also would like the ref to enforce this.

 

2. Please check player ID's through at least the 2nd week of the season.  This is our attempt to check players that are trying to play without having registered on that team.

 

3. Games MUST start on time this season because there is a league after ours which begins at 4:30.  If the teams aren't ready by their designated start time,start the time and let it run.  We are going to remind our players of this as well.

 

4. Weather.  Last year there was some confusion with weather/field conditions and rain.  The games may not be cancelled by any player or team representative.  The only people who can make a final determination about weather and games played is Heather Gutshall and I.  Our telephone numbers are listed on the attached Game Day Procedures Chart.  If we are not physically at the field, they can call us with any concerns!

 

5. The players generally follow rules and calls, but we still ask that the refs are familiar with our league's rules; No offsides, No slide-talking whatsoever (this is zero tolerance)..etc.

 

6.  Lastly, this is for the players mostly, but something to be aware of.  If any injury occurs within the game, it is the players responsibility to notify the referee.  For insurance purposes, we ask the ref to document the injury (big or small) in their ref report for if the player decides to make an insurance claim.  It must be documented. This is something we stress to our players so they know it's their responsibility to notify the ref of injuries. 

 

That's all from us.  We added a new team, so we have to re-work the schedule.  Once that is complete, Heather will send that to you!  Also, whenever you have the new referee website, let us know.  I assume we will have a login again?  We'll make an effort early each week to check to ensure we have refs scheduled for our games.
